Hold Morning Assemblies starting with National Anthem in schools: SED
Srinagar, Jun 13: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department on Thursday ordered holding of mandatory morning assemblies, starting with the National Anthem, in all schools across the union territory.
As per a circular issued by School education department a copy of which is in possession of Daily Spark News reads, In order to maintain uniformity, it is impressed upon all the stakeholders to, henceforth, conduct Morning Assemblies across the respective schools.
Giving guidelines circular reads, Morning Assembly shall be of 20 minutes duration and all students and teachers shall assemble at the designated area at the commencement of school schedule, it reads.
Circular reads that, Morning Assembly shall begin with the National Anthem as per standard protocol.
In order to inculcate leadership qualities and upgrade the skills of the students as mandated under NEP-2020, three to four students/teachers shall compulsorily give awareness/motivational talk on any of the following topics each day which includes, Autobiographies, Daily Announcements, Inspirational Talks, Theme of the Week/Month, Character Education, Stress Management and health Tips, Cultural Celebrations, Guest Speakers, Creative Performances, Educational Trivia or Facts, Mindfulness and Well-being, Environmental Awareness, Career and College Readiness, Drugs menace, reads the circular.
